Licensed Counsellor Offering Support for Trauma, Anxiety, and Relationships
Bree acknowledges the courage that it takes to seek counselling and the vulnerability involved in letting someone else in on their personal struggles. Bree aims to create a culturally sensitive counselling space where the client feels they are accepted and worthy as the person that they are. Bree firmly believes that the counselling environment should be centred on the client’s values and move toward the client’s preferred future. Everyone struggles, and perfection is not a goal any of us will achieve. Thus, experiences of difficult emotions, including shame, guilt, frustration, alarm, and grief, are not uncommon or abnormal.
Bree is on the faculty at the Neufeld Institute and has been personally mentored by author and developmental psychologist Dr. Gordon Neufeld. Bree teaches a relational developmental paradigm through the Neufeld Institute and utilizes that insight to support her clients. Bree has her Master’s degree in counselling psychology and has experience working with crisis clients, supporting parents, people experiencing homelessness and youth in care. This background gives Bree unique insight into development, trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and relationship problems. Bree has an extensive counselling tool kit and can support clients through creative expression and various forms of talk therapy. Bree also holds certification to help clients process and navigate antagonistic, emotionalal, psychological and narcissistic abuse.
